This is a real phone. It connects to your phone line.

Can you adjust the ringer or turn it off?
The ringer control switch on the rear of the telephone body allows you to turn the ringer off or set it to ring at either a normal or high volume. You can still make and receive calls when the ringer is turned off.

Yes it can, but the wires have to come out from the back.

Does this need to be plugged into the wall (for electricity) or just a phone jack?
Just a phone jack is needed. Easy to install.

Do the touch tone number buttons light up?
No, they don't light up. It includes 0-9 and the # and * keys. They're all touchtone. It's not rotary.

Is a key included for the coin box?
Yes, it comes with a key. When it's closed, it's locked, you have to use the key to open it. But you don't have to use coins to make a call, it's just a fun feature.
